Hii,

Today I found some interesting things that I struggled while modeling Revit model with help of Civil plan

First we understand how setup goes on Foundation -

We have a Concrete Foundation Stem Wall over which we put Sill-Plate and attach with Anchor Bolt then Floor put over and nailed down to Sill-Plate After this Setup Completed we start Building Wall by Placing Sole-Plate and Studs Manually or directly placing Prefabricated Wall.

Now let's understand this, while Modelling in Revit. we need to place Exterior Concrete Floor (eg. Garage Floor) at the same level to Top of Foundation Stem wall or Below the Bottom of Sill-Plate so that Concrete doesn't come in contact with Lumber (Sill-Plate).

Like here I modeled as per Finish Floor Elevation (FF) = 132.33 and Finish Surface Elevation (FS) = 132.12.

The difference is 0.21' = 2.5" that is 2x Sill-plate (1.5") + 1" margin over Garage Slab.
