Lakers News: Kobe Bryant Inducted Into Yet Another Hall Of Fame (2024)

Late great Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant was a shoo-in first ballot Hall of Famer, and as such was instantly inducted into the 2020 class when he was first eligible. His talent, hard work, and dedication to the game of basketball were undeniable. There was no doubt that the 18-time All-Star shooting guard would forever be enshrined, and now he would be for the rest of the time.

Even after his death, his legacy remains throughout every region worldwide. Now, Kobe is a part of two different Halls of Fame, the Basketball Hall of Fame and the Orange County Hall of Fame, the place he called home for over a decade, per CBS KCAL News.

Bryant, along with nine other people who have done great things for the county, have lived in the county, or called the county their home, are now forever enshrined.

Other notable inductees are Walt Disney, Gwen Stefani, Tiger Woods, and philanthropist Henry Segerstrom. This is the inaugural class of 2023, and there is no doubt Kobe belongs in there. The requirement for the Hall of Fame is a minimum of 10 years as a resident, recognition through major awards like winning an Oscar or major sports championship while living in Orange County, or being a civic leader from/within OC.

Kobe fits the bill as he's brought five NBA championships to the Lakers while calling the OC home and brought home an Oscar award in 2018 for Best Animated Short Film.

This is another great accomplishment for the Laker legend and the Bryant family. Congratulations to the all-time great!
