I faced the challenge of keeping team morale high.Our team was a powerhouse of performance. Yet the daily grind of pushing boundaries was a tough hill to climb.I asked for guidance from one of my friends. She posed a thought-provoking question. Did our team know if they were merely laying bricks or if were they building a temple?She shared the following story:A traveller once encountered three workers. To his query about their task, the first replied, "I'm laying bricks." The second stated, "I'm erecting a wall." But the third, with a gleam in his eye, proclaimed, "I'm building a cathedral."Her point was crystal clear. Do our teams realize the greater purpose behind their daily toil?We must recognize that while we may lay bricks day in and day out, it's vital to step back and appreciate the grand vision of the temple we're constructing.
