PGA Championship leaderboard 2023: Live golf scores, results from Sunday's Round 4 | Sporting News (2024)

Golf's second major of the 2023 season is at the halfway mark. Jon Rahm, Scottie Scheffler and the rest of the world's top golfers are pursuing the Wanamaker Trophy at the 2023 PGA Championship.

The PGA Championship is being held at Oak Hill Country Club in Rochester, N.Y. This is the fourth time the club has hosted the major championship, but the course has undergone a major renovation since the event was last held there in 2013.

Rahm and Scheffler entered the tournament as the favorites to win it all, and with good reason. The two have been among the hottest golfers in the world this season over the last year-plus, though Rahm is enjoying the best 2023 calendar year. The Spaniard won the first major of the year at the Masters and will look to become golf's first back-to-back major winner since Brooks Koepka at the 2018 PGA Championship and U.S. Open. He's going to need a major comeback, though, after barely making the cut Friday.

Meanwhile, Justin Thomas was looking to defend his title after beating Will Zalatoris in a playoff to take home the Wanamaker Trophy last year at Southern Hills. Thomas hasn't yet won an event during the 2022-23 PGA Tour season and only has three top-10 finishes in 12 events. That includes a missed cut at the Masters. He, too, is way back in the field after just making the cut.
