Mates, just wrote some stuff for a potential quest (I'd want the Mechanics to be based on Filing in Dumbledore's Shoes by Rivenscryr, however may plan to ask to use theirs with a little tweaking. But this Thread isn't for that aspect of questing).
I'd want to ask you guy's input if I wrote Dumbledore or Snape at least decently to be passed off as Dumbledore and Snape.
(First POV is Snape)
The attacks caused by Slytherin's Monster placed the whole castle in fear, none more than the first year Muggleborn students. All attempts to intercept the monster failed, with more victims being petrified over the course of a few months. These events have consequences as on the 25th of December, School Board Governor Lucius Malfoy alongside his fellow colleagues that are grumpy for missing a day for their own, announced to the hall during their time of breaking fast of the sacking of Albus Dumbledore.
Outrage ensued, McGonnagal prepared herself for a tirade, Flitwick and Pomona looking as if wanting to give them a piece of their minds, and you looking at the procession with hidden panics as you turned your eyes to a resigned Dumbledore. Potter, Weasley, and Granger all look at the turn of events with shock and panic at the thought of the beloved headmaster having to leave.
"Calm yourself, Minerva."The Headmaster turns his head to the Deputy Headmistress, nods his head with a look of resignation. "I have been expecting as much."
"Come, Dumbledore." Lucius looks at the scene with impatience on his face. "Pack your belongings, you must leave the Castle Grounds by Night."
"If I may, Lucius." Dumbledore stands up, bringing two palms up as his eyes twinkle. "With you and your fellow Governors here to tell me such news on this fine day, I'm curious to think why you didn't wait to save this discussion for another board meeting." He asks with curiosity in his tone, seemingly as if his sacking wasn't important in the grand scheme of things.
"If you must know, Dumbledore." Lucius replies with irritation. "Indeed, we already have decided on a much suitable Wizard as Headmaster of this very establishment." He tilts his head to you. "Severus Snape."
You concealed a shocked look on your face, you didn't expect to become Headmaster. You already dismissed yourself as a candidate as you were still pining for the position of Defence Against the Dark Arts Professor, not to mention you believe McGonnagal would've been chosen as Headmistress if Dumbledore were to retire. However, you do concede the point that in the view of the Elder Malfoy she would've been too much in The Headmaster's pockets – thus Dumbledore never truly left Hogwarts.
You turn your sights towards those around the table.
Potter looked at you with a glare, as if you're the one who planned the whole thing. You gave a glare back as this is simply another reminder of the re-emergence of James Potter, and none of Lily.
You noticed that Weasley shares the same vision as Potter. As if he could try and usurp Dumbledore his own position! Dunderhead meets Dunderhead, you could not help but note the rather idiotic similarities of Potter and Black. Just what they need, to truly show how arrogant and talentless they are like their forefathers.
Granger seems to be looking at you with suspicions. Just what you needed, a complete trio of Dunderheads! You still haven't forgiven Lupin for trying to kill you when Black led you to his way. In fact, if that werewolf were to ever return to Hogwarts, you'll give the word that he is such a creature to everyone in the castle!
Scowling at them, you turn your attention to the ones actually giving intelligent conversations.
"A good choice, if I may add." Dumbledore nodded approving of the choice of his replacement. McGonnagal's face looked at him in betrayal. "Not discounting your capabilities, Minerva. However, you can admit you will lose your cool the moment something..rather drastic happens. I trust Severus to do a good job."
Dumbledore looked as if he wanted to say more, but with the irritation and impatience mounting in Lucius' facial expression, you concluded that he thought to not push the matter anymore than necessary.
"Help will be given at Hogwarts." Dumbledore turns his eyes to Potter, Weasley, and Granger. "To those who ask for it." His eye twinkles before turning towards Lucius. "Let's be off to the office, I'm sure you'll be watching me until leaving Hogwarts.." He walks out the Great Hall, followed by a relieved Lucius and bored Governors around him.
